I love this post and it's so true. I once had to narrate a book with lots of tough names and even spent hours on the phone with the author to make sure I got them all right and I still had someone whining about a few words that were apparently mispronounced. C'est la vie.

Thank you Johnny for your grounded levity and amazing way with "words"!!!

Thank you, Johnny (and Tanya). I wish I’d read this yesterday! It was a “choose your battles” day, with an obscure word I’m quite sure Pozo got wrong (even the definition and spelling were different!). But the “right” pronunciation was impossible to find. I shared the info with the producer, they said go with Pozo, and I decided not to fight it. So I just want to apologize right now to that one listener who will know.

Lots of chuckles reading this article and thank you Johnny and Tanya for the brilliant idea and writing….once I had an author tells me go forth and be creative when they don’t offer pronunciation help…ugh….others go beyond just helping….thank you again for a great read.
