#4 would be especially helpful for those of us who are exceptionally squeamish about self-promotion. Great article. Looking forward to the next!

Yes, Tanya! Thank you. And since you have footing on both sides of the curtain, I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions. Can't wait for the next installment.

This is so helpful, Tanya! Thanks for fielding questions from narrators and sharing your honest truth.

"Publishing is a complicated machine. Places are understaffed and overworked.

It’s true in casting too. We want to do all the things, but there’s not enough time, enough budget, enough manpower, to make everything happen."

A reminder for us all to bring more patience and grace to the process.

And re: getting feedback (as in detailed, actionable information) on an audition, that’s for coaches, not casting directors.

Yep! I think people are putting a lot of expectations on casting directors, not really realizing that that's not their lane or responsibility. Feedback is 100% for coaches and workshops. Thanks for the comment!

Most important bit of info in this post:

"Allow some grace, understanding and kindness in the production flow. Casting directors and roducers are inundated with daily tasks, emails, problems, questions, and needs. A little understanding from everyone makes the job flow a little easier for all."

Grace, understanding, kindness, AND COMMUNICATION win the day! I use all four in my work.

Thanks, Tanya!
